Izatso membership is free. Fill out our easy registration form and activate your account by clicking on the link included in the confirmation email.

izatso is a service that rewards you for taking part in online market research by providing your honest opinions and feedback about products and services, advertising campaigns, new product concepts or anything else.

Becoming an izatso member will allow you to:
  • attend taste tests
  • test products delivered to your home
  • complete online surveys
  • participate in focus groups
  • join communities and online discussion boards

Your views are highly sought after by organisations from all over the world and izatso helps you get rewarded for telling these companies what you really think.

Joining izatso is simple, quick and best of all it's free. You will automatically be entitled to receive surveys that, when completed correctly will entitle you to points that can later be redeemed for one of the rewards offer on this site. The profile questions that you answer upon joining are specifically designed to ensure that you receive only the most relevant surveys.

izatso is owned and operated by Direction First Pty Ltd, an Australian based market research agency. Direction First are members of the AMSRS (Australian Market and Social Research Society) as well as AMSRO (Association of Market and Social Research Organisations).

Is registration free?

Registration on izatso is entirely free and you will not be asked for any payment.

Now I’ve joined the izatso panel, what happens next?

Once you have joined izatso as a panel member, from time to time you will be sent survey invitations to your email address. Clicking on a link in the invitation email will take you directly to the survey.

How often will I be invited to take part in online surveys?

It all depends on your profile and the types of products and services that our clients have. You should try and complete all of your profile as soon as possible and make sure that it is always up to date.

In general, how long does an online survey take?

A survey generally lasts between 5 to 20 minutes. We try to ensure that all surveys are as short, simple and relevant as possible.

Will you try to sell me something?

No, the information you share with us is purely for market research purposes. Under no circumstances will these surveys make you use or recommend a product or service nor will we attempt to promote a product or service through a survey.

How long do I have to answer?

Usually you have 2 - 3 days to answer the survey. The email invitation to the survey will let you know the closing date of the survey.

What incentives are available?

For each survey, in-home product test or group discussion, etc that you are invited to, you will be informed of the reward amount prior to participating. For online surveys and in-home testing, you will earn points into your izatso account, which can then be used to redeem rewards. Please see the REDEEM section of the site for more details.

I’ve forgotten my password, what do I do?

If you have forgotten your password, click on the 'Forgotten your Password?' link below the login area and enter your email address. You will then receive an email and be given the opportunity to obtain a new password.

How do I change my password, my email address or my personal information?

To change your password and email address you should login, then select the ‘Settings’ menu from the top menu bar. You will see then see a drop-down list of options to update your personal details and change your email address and password. Simply make the appropriate changes and click the save button once completed.

How do I leave izatso?

To terminate your account, you will need to login using your email address and password and then go to the settings menu. Under the settings menu select ‘Unsubscribe’, and then reconfirm your email address and password to leave the izatso panel.
Please note that it can sometimes take a few days for this to be processed. In accordance with the data protection legislation and the Code of the Market Research Society all your personal data will be deleted

Can you let me know which of these options is preferred and we will set up the site accordingly.


Will I get spam as a result of signing up to izatso?

No. The izatso panel has been created purely for market research purposes and your personal data will not be shared with or sold to third parties. Your contact details will only be used by us to contact you for izatso research, unless explicitly asked during the survey.

Tip for attending Central Location Tests / tasting sessions

  • Bring photo ID (driving license, passport, proof of age card)
  • Arrive 10 minutes before your session starts
  • Do not eat or drink anything other than water for at least 1 hour before a tasting session, as this can affect your ability to accurately taste and critique the food at the session.
  • Do not attend tasting sessions if you are unwell (cold, flu, cough) as this can affect your sense of smell and taste.
  • Always remember to sign out after you have completed the session and collect your reward!
  • If for whatever reason you are unable to attend a session please let us know as soon as possible, either via phone or email. It is very important that we have 100% attendance for the research to be successful and failure to notify us promptly will result in receiving less invitations to central location tests.

Safety Advice

  • We do not allow members with food allergies to attend tasting sessions. You can still get involved by taking part in our online surveys, communities, boards, group discussions, accompanied shops or in-home product reviews.
  • We strongly advise against bringing children to tasting sessions, unless you have been invited to a session that requires your child to attend. izatso do not have formal child-care facilities at the venue to supervise children who have not been invited to the session. Often we have hot food and beverages being carried around at the venue. The venues can also get very busy with up to a few hundred people attending in the space of a day, thus making it an unsafe environment for a child.

Can I bring a friend to a Central Location Test?

Our studies have certain criteria that are requested to us by the client. If you have a friend who is interested in taking part in tests, then please refer them to the website so that they can register to become a member.

Do I need to know how to use a computer?

You will be required to use a laptop during the session so basic computer skills will be required.

How long do the sessions last for?

Our tests or tasting sessions run from 10 to 90 minutes, depending on the study.

How much will I get paid for attending a test or a tasting session?

Depending on the length of the session, we reward our respondents anything from $30 to $120 or even more occasionally.

When will I receive the payment after attending a test or a tasting session?

Once you have completed the test or tasting session and signed out, you then collect your payment reward as you leave.

I am pregnant/breast feeding; can I still attend the tasting sessions?

We advise you not to take part in the tasting sessions if you are pregnant or lactating as this may affect your taste buds.

Where are the tests and tasting sessions located?

We strive to ensure that the tests and tasting sessions are held at a central location, whether in the CBD or a convenient suburb. These locations are usually close to public transport.

Do you provide parking?

Occasionally, we do provide parking at central locations, but it’s not necessarily the rule. Please plan your trip to arrive at least 10 minutes before the start time.
